Roadtrip! '06

15th September ---> 1st October
New York ---> Miami
Justin & Spillers

I took a ton of photos (not literally, digital information has no actual mass, but if the pictures were converted into paper they would weigh a lot, I mean, I took about 700 of them in all) so here are the highlights (not that there were any lowlights) . Click to enlarge as usual.

Si captures some film in Central Park

I enjoy the local cuisine: a Noo Yawk Hawt Dawg.

Spillers at the shebang!

At Giants stadium to witness the Jets lose to the Pats.

This is a very famous diner apparently. That's right, it is the restaurant that inspired Suzanne Vega's hit 'Tom's Diner!'

Waiting for the lights to change on fifth avenue.

Ground Zero.

Marathon training went ahead as usual in Central Park.

I realise my Bruce pilgrimage. Greetings From Asbury Park NJ.

Running on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Si slurps down another cocktail at the jungle cafe, Atlantic City.

Washington DC. Finally Spillers is surrounded by birds.

My good self outside the supreme court. Justice will be served.

Stopping off for some tomatoes on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Si at one of the many lookouts on the Blue Ridge Parkway... looking out.

Behind the wheel of the Pontiac.

Another lookout.

The world's foggiest road. Flying by the seat of our pants into Asheville, North Carolina.

Eggs Benedict with crab. Breakfast, Asheville Style.

Si chows down on some grits.

Si at the devil's courthouse - where yet again, Justice will be served.

Enjoying an ale in Charleston, South Carolina.

Permission to come aboard. Boat trip with Cpt. Bobby in Charleston.

Who's in there?

Why, it's me. Thanks for recording such a special memory Si.

It all gets too much for Si at the Kennedy Space Centre.

Never mind. We'll meet and greet Cmdr Charlie Walker. He's been to space three times and he's a helluva guy.

Si behind the wheel of the ragtop.

I do the same.

The sign says it all. Running in Key West.

Self portrait in Miami. Complete with the 'convertable bouffant' hairdo. The one drawback of riding in open top cars.
